Freedom Betrayed --An Introduction

さて、Magnum Opusとは何だろうか。最高傑作と言う意味のラテン語である。

フーバーは、Magnum Opusと題して、膨大な記録を行いながら、回想録を書いていた。ようやく出版されることになった。その編者が、ジョージ・ナッシュ教授である。当方は、著者がナッシュ教授であると思い込んでいたが間違えた。しかし、元大統領が記述した、第二次世界大戦とその結果についての回想録が、21世紀を十年も過ぎてようやく出版されること自体が不思議である。歴史の書き換えを迫る回想録が出版されたのである。特に、米国と太平洋で激戦を戦った日本の戦後の歴史も相当の書き換えを迫られることになることは間違いないd。
