Author of "My father, Kim Jong Il, and I: Kim Jong Nam's Exclusive Confession"
There was a luncheon meeting of the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan, where Mr Gomi YOji, Senior Staff Writer of the Tokyo Shimbun(a daily newspapers company in Tokyo and Nagoya), the author of the Kim Jong Nam's Exclusive Confession just published in Japan.
It is very difficult to have reliable information out of North Korea, but the book by Mr Gomi is a compilation of interviews with unique insight into the family that has run the country of North Korea and its politics and the people as a scoop.
Mr Gomi accidentaly met Mr Kim Jong Nam, at the Beijin Airport and started communications with him.
Mr Kim Jong Nam was arrested in May 2001 trying to enter Japan on a forged Dominican Passport with two women and a boy aged 4 and said that he wanted to visit Disneyland.
Mr Gomi interviewed the man in Macao and thourgh more than 150 email exchanges and he released the book on January 20th, even though Mr. Kim Jong Nam commented courteously that the timing of publication can be early but the book became instantly a best seller in Japan.
